Cleaning Method

CRS uses a four-step carpet cleaning method:

  • Pre-spotting all carpeted areas with professional spotting chemicals.
  • Pre-spraying the carpet with cleaning solutions, mixed specifically for the carpet type and the degree and kind of soil present.
  • Roto scrubbing all high traffic areas (if needed), which lifts the trampled fibres and allows the cleaning solutions to penetrate them.
  • Power rinsing the chemicals and the dirt from the carpet using our high pressure extractors (truck mounted or portable)

This method of cleaning ensures that there are minimal residual cleaning compounds left in the carpet. This extends the life of the textile, promotes a healthy living environment and increases the time between cleanings.

CRS uses UltraChemLabs and other environmentally responsible pre-sprays and rinsing agents whenever possible. We provide cleaning services that meet or exceed the "Carpet Cleaning Standard S100-2002" as published by the Institute of Inspection Cleaning & Restoration (IICRC). CRS is one of the few companies in the Lower Mainland that can provide professional (high pressure, high heat, high vacuum) commercial carpet cleaning services without compromising your building's security or local civic evening noise by-laws.

Equipment

Most competitors in our market place have truck mounted extractors that are capable of exceeding the IICRC cleaning standards for temperature and water pressure. In our part of the world, we have experienced a dramatic decline in the number of buildings that permit traditional truck mounted extractors to be used. Property Managers are reluctant to have the building's security envelope dropped to allow hose access. Fire Departments are not allowing doors to be chained and the enforcement of evening noise by-laws are becoming stricter every year.

To meet this change in the market place, CRS has portable and electric truck mounted extractors manufactured that come standard with 500 or 1200 psi adjustable pumps with 225 inches of water lift. They are 110 volt units with heavy duty enhancements that make this gear truly commercial. When connected to a propane flash furnace, that is capable of delivering continuous heat in excess of 100 degrees Celsius, we are able to emulate traditional truck mount performance with room to spare. For those companies that have made security arrangements that would allow traditional truck mount access, CRS also has top of the line traditional truck mounted units.
